A dear friend of mine introduced me to this blogging phenomenon, enthusiastically proclaiming it to be very 'cathartic'. Having a vague idea from context, but not entirely certain of the full meaning and implications of this word, I typed it into dictionary.com and found 'purging' and 'laxative' used repeatedly in the definitions. Hmmm...so i'm taking it to mean a mental/emotional release, or else I have some concerns about the health of my dear friend!

Anyways, I'm not sure what my objective is yet in this, my very first blog. But I thought I may as well jump on the bandwagon before it is passé.
