tired
Wow. I felt the need to create a new post, in an attempt to somehow retain some form of control over my blog. I see the ownership slipping from my fingers and I am powerless to do anything about it.It's 1:00 am. I've been here (the office, if you will) since 5 am. It's madness. Remember the too blessed to be stressed bit? OK...I'm stressed now. Ever have one of those days when the tiniest thing threatens to put you over the edge? That was today. I felt like someone asking me to do the smallest additional thing (like mailing a letter) would drive me to tears. Yep.
Rest assured that once I have had a chance to rest...assured...I will reclaim my blog with a vengeance. For now, I will permit the pygmies to engage in their futile strategies.

who is this poster?
what happened to Jo & Kristi?
Not to fear! I am here!! Audrey is accurate in her belief that she has no control. Her attempts to regain it are futile. Notice that she posts at 1:00 am? At time when she knows the 'the threat' (J&K if you will) will be sleeping.
I think this calls for a new strategy Jo. You take 11pm- 11am, and I'll suffer through the rest. We will conquer sibbie751 yet.
(Thanks for the support Matt)
I am here too! But we have much to reconsider Kristi.
Matthew, yes, indeed, thank you for your ever so loyal support!!
Audrey, I am rather offended to be called a "pygmie" by you, one of my longest lasting friends...
I suggest that the three of us (with matthew's support from a distance, of course) unite in an alliance against the isidious ideas of TheJonnySmithRegime. THAT regime is the true danger, most esteemed ladies, THAT is the truest danger.
And that is precisely the reason why the breech in security of this blog concerns me.....I mean, we are FRIENDS, what happens if someone with harmful intentions tries to take over?
Don't you see Audrey, what we did, Kristi and I, was simply a TEST, for your benefit in the long run.
p.s. i long for peace between us, so we can share recipes and restore Blogdom to the wholeness that it once was.
Hey! I found your blog! Very cool. I was just thinking if you need a good recipe for your next mission trip meeting I have a good one...and it's easy...maybe you already have it...it's for mars bar squares...a sure group pleaser...
lisa b,
welcome to our kingdom! i, for one, am VERY interested in the recipe....sounds yummy! (delicious, if you will).
kristi,
if Audrey decides to remain opposed to us, I will definately take the night shift! (too many classes during the day).
Jo, the recipe is awesome...can be made on stove or microwave (as discovered during dorm life in the old tom philippe dorm--probably destroyed by now)...my lunch is ready but will post recipe as soon as lunch is done and little one is in bed...
I too often make Mars Bars squares. I would suggest though that you be mighty careful who you hand this out to. Jo - yes. Others - no. For example. I used to make these for Dave Klob during the days I worked for BBC. He became OBSESSED....tripping up the stairs to get to them, OBSESSED. Seeing this I held back the recipe from him. Where would I get my laughs (chuckles if you will) had I simply handed over the recipe for him to use at his own discretion?
THINK LADIES THINK...Do we really want the world to have access to this secret recipe. Most people (including the infamous food-aholic Dave Klob) can't figure out what that last ingredient is. Don't you see the position this puts us in. Surely one of greatness!!!
I BEG YOU....BEEEEE CARRREEFULLLLLL.....

Oh no Kristi,
You must've posted while I was typing out the recipe...the wisdom of the words you write...perhaps I need to delete my comment...the mental image of dave klob tripping up the stairs to get to the squares made me giggle...
Jo,
I did delete the recipe upon further reflection of Kristi's comment...yet again I say there is wisdom in her words...
how do i share this recipe with you a fellow female?
lisa, i'm in class, and i shouldn't be typing this, but kristi has a point. I have copied and pasted the recipe safetly to my laptop and now i suggest that you delete it asap! :) we will have to find an alternate way to share.
jo, i did delete it...can you still see it? because I can't but I had erased a number of minutes before you posted your last comment...help...
lisa, have no fear, the mission was accomplished before the delete! i'm sure that mars bars will be my next dessert when i have company over. what a great recipe! yum.
Ahhhhh...phew....so relieved. I was pretty worried there for a few minutes- typing like a madman (physco if you will) in the hopes that my keystrokes would beat out Lisa's keystrokes.....it was close, but we saved it ladies, we saved it.
Seeing your dedication to complete the task (mission if you will) in a timely and effective manner makes me realize what a mighty team we are ladies. This, I feel, is just the beginning of many more missions to come.
Talent...raw talent......
BEEP! Kristi, dear, you are wanted in a J&K Board meeting (decision making event if you will) A.S.A.P. The meeting is located on the "mentoring" post. I think it shall be productive. Also, if you could bring snacks (or snack ideas if you will, particularly a snack that utilizes marshmellows would be grand).
See you then!
raw talent indeed!
i think that we should speak frequently about the thing that unites all the people of the world: food.
"isn't this overkill?" you ask. i respond, "no, one can never speak too much about food, for it is important to the very depths of our being." if we do not delight the tastebuds, then we are not experiencing God's creative masterpiece in its finest form. And if we are not experiencing delectible tasting we are not partaking in God's gifts to us. And if we do not receive his gifts than we are not worshiping him. Therefore, eating exquisitely is a high form of worship! Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, let us perfect with excellence the art of cooking and in so doing, please our Creator!
oh yes, i forgot to mention (bring up if you will) that i am quite worried about our most esteemed dave klob now. i just had no idea that he has been diagnosed with "Mars Disorder." Can we really have someone who is pathological be leading us in song?? How does this disorder affect/effect his abilities to carry out his leadership tasks in an efficient and godly manner???
i was wondering why we had to sing "it's all about love, all about love" so many times in chapel. now i know why--he was ill.
