Apartment
My best friend happens to live two blocks from where I will be working. I am probably at their house more waking hours than anywhere else. She and her husband and teenage kids are like family to me. They live in a side-by-side and had the basement turned into a one bedroom apartment. At different points over the last few months, we've said how it would be so cool if I could ever have that apartment, but we never thought it would actually be possible. A couple weeks ago (as I was in the midst of the interviewing process), their tenant gave notice that she will be moving out. Talk about timing. We were holding our breath on the job because we knew it would mean I could have the apartment, but we didn't want to get our hopes up. I had never actually seen it, but I knew it was new and cute and the whole living situation would be perfect. Needless to say, we were quite excited when we found out.So on the weekend I had a look at the apartment with my parents and grandmother. I knew I wanted it, but as I got to see it for myself, I absolutely love it. And so do my parents. It's perfect.
I'll let you know when the house-warming is, because you're all invited.

Oh yay - a housewarming party! I love those!! If you need anything for the apartment I've got boxes of stuff (curtains, kitchen stuff, etc.) that I'm not using anymore. You are welcome to any of it..free shopping....
Might I add - I am thrilled (much like the apostle Paul)at how everything has worked out for you (and I mean 'everything'!!!)....it's all very exciting!!
When you say you are thrilled, I somehow hear it in the voice of Prez. It is indeed nice to see 'everything' coming together. I'll let you know as soon as the dust settles with the rest of 'everything'.
I am excited about the idea of free shopping! I think I have furniture taken care of, but I barely started to think about kitchen stuff...so I can probably make use of some of yours! :)
Yes, that is why I said "thrilled" and threw in the apostle Paul....
I may have an entire bathroom set for you too since I just redid mine.....whenever you like, come shopping...
hooray! it's all very exciting indeed. (especially the not slogging part) :) luv ya Aud.
Nice to hear about the positive stuff happening in your life! Enjoy it!!!! :)
oh Aud, I wish you'd post more often! I want to know how things are with you!
